For our client, an International Group Trust organisation, we are currently seeking to recruit a full-time Senior Accountant to join their fast-growing team in Nicosia.
The Position
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing accounting and bookkeeping services to a portfolio of clients from a range of industry sectors and will be a member of a dynamic and diverse cross-border team, consisted mainly of young professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping and recording of all transactions in the accounting software for international business clients of both investment holding and trading companies
- Preparation of quarterly Management Accounts and preparation of Financial Statements
- Working closely with the Directors of the Company or Corporate Administrators on day to day matters and ad-hoc projects
- Review the work of team members and provide support and assistance to subordinates
- Communication with clients in relation to accounting issues and tax obligations
- Liaising with external auditors and supervision of the preparation of the audit file
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in a related field (Accounting/Economics/Finance)
- Qualified or partly qualified ACA/ACCA
- At least 3 years of experience as an Accountant or Auditor
- Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team
- Good knowledge of accounting software (e.g E-soft, Xero) will be considered an advantage
- Good knowledge of Caseware and preparation of Financial Statements will be considered an advantage
- Computer literate and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
- Excellent command of the English language (verbal and written)
- Very good knowledge of IAS's and IFRS’s
- Very good knowledge of preparation and submission of VAT and VIES to be considered an advantage
- Experience of booking entries of financial instruments will be considered an advantage.
- Experience of bookkeeping and preparation of accounts for Trusts will be considered an advantage.
