For our client, a firm of qualified public auditors and accountants regulated by ICPAC, the country’s supervisory body, with extensive experience in auditing, international tax planning and consulting for a large number of clients, both local and international is seeking to recruit a Junior Auditor to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute audit engagements for local and international clients in compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Assist in client onboarding processes, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and AML reviews.
- Prepare and submit personal and corporate tax returns.
- Provide regular reports to the Partner regarding weekly tasks, client updates, and other matters.
Requirements:
- School leaving certificate with an average graduation mark of at least 17/20;
- University degree with a minimum grade of 2:2 or equivalent, preferably with an accounting/audit background;
- Computer literacy;
- Fluency in Greek and English, both in verbal and written;
- Ambition and commitment to start a career as a professional accountant;
- Pleasant personality, professionalism and able to work under strict reporting deadlines;
- Being a fast learner.
Work Structure:
The position is full time in the office and that’s due to the fact that they offer great working hours and support work life balance.
The working hours are:
- Mondays and Thursdays 8:00am – 17:30pm (with a 30-minute break) and
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays 8:00am – 15:00pm.
- They also offer a 13th salary; and have opportunities for ongoing professional development and offer a free parking for employees which they can use anytime as they are located in the heart of Nicosia.
ACCA/ACA study support:
The candidate can be partly ACCA/ ACA qualified if it’s a Semi Senior auditor, and we also offer paid internship for ACCA and ACA trainees.
Salary:
€1000 - 1200 monthly gross, depending on experience
