Our client, an accounting and audit firm, is currently seeking to recruit a motivated, high caliber individual to join their team of professionals as Junior Auditor, for their office in Nicosia, for full time employment.
Responsibilities:
- To be part of a team, performing audit workings and tests in accordance with the firm’s audit methodology and professional standards.
- To perform and manage the audits for small-sized clients, both local and international clients.
- Assist in undertaking the audit of medium-sized firms, both local and international clients, with the guidance of its supervisors
- Operate the audit software used and manage to carry out the audit testing tasks (Caseware and Caseware International).
- Process and preparation of financial statements under IFRS.
- Provide assistance in the preparation of all documents required for the audit.
- Assist in the liaison with the clients’ accounting staff and administrators.
- Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.
- Report results of work to senior staff.
Requirements:
- To have at least 1 year of work experience in an audit firm in the audit department.
- The Candidate should hold a bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Mathematics or any other related field, in a reputable university.
- To have basic knowledge of financial principles (IFRS) and Audit standards (ISAs), and willing to develop further.
- Computer literacy with excellent knowledge and experience of Outlook/Excel/Word.
- Fluency in both Greek and English, verbal and written, is essential.
- Ability to work as a team member, good character and willingness to develop.
- Excellent analytical skills, time management, organization and evaluative skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Registered with ACA or ACCA for obtaining a professional title, would be considered as advantage.
