For a global financial services group of companies with 600+ employees worldwide, we are looking to find a proactive Accountant, for their office in Dali, Nicosia. The company’s primary areas of focus are fund research, portfolio, and risk advice, FinTech and implementation solutions. Job Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of maintaining the purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Completing related month end tasks and assisting in other finance duties where required.
Responsibilities:
- Creation of client sales invoices, preparation and reconciliation of billing schedules.
- Performs month end close including bank reconciliations, journal postings, depreciation, function cost allocations, monthly variance report and trial balance review.
- Ensures accuracy of the accounting transactions in the accounting system and maintaining appropriate validation for all Balance Sheet items and their schedules.
- Carries out payroll reconciliations, preparation of payroll accruals and of the relevant monthly journals and ensure their payments.
- Prepares Financial projections and assist with Cashflow management.
- Provides support with year end audit planning, liaison and completion of the statutory audit.
- Prepares financial information for the CySEC Regulatory reporting and maintain up to date knowledge on regulatory obligations and submissions.
- Participates in supplier contract review and ISO audit as appropriate.
- Completes and submits various finance related documentation such as Central Bank, Quarterly surveys, CyStat surveys etc.
- Supports the group finance team during leaves of absence and handle any group finance ad hoc requests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, with a minimum of 3 years in a relevant role.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of data accurately.
- Proficient in financial software and systems and advanced knowledge of excel.
- Analytical thinking to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and enhance processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Strong grasp of financial reporting standards, taxation, and compliance.
Salary:
€30,000 - 33,000 annual gross, depending on experience
